Happiness, Day 2
August 8, 2013
- I’m thankful for my barbecue grill.
- I’m thankful Cesc Fabregas isn’t joining Manchester United.
- I’m thankful my parents are returning from their trip to Ireland.
The interview went well, and I’ve been able to set another up, as well as schedule a writing test, too. Prospects are, apparently, improving.
On Sunday, Meg, Owen and I will be joining Ruthie, Sissy and Deuce, as well as some other in-laws, for a memorial service for Ruthie’s father, Pop, who died almost a year ago. This’ll be Owen’s first visit to a cemetery, so I started talking about it with him this morning. I said, “We’re going to see Gigi (Ruthie’s nickname), Sissy and Deuce Sunday. We’re going to say ‘Bye bye, Pop'”
For the rest of our morning prep time Owen kept saying, “Bye bye, Pop.” He has a good heart.
